Inner Thigh Exercises – A Workout for Inner Thigh That Will Give You The Thighs You’ve Always Wanted

by admin on August 4, 2010

Inner thigh is one of the most common problems for women all around the world. The inner thigh is a troublesome part of the body, especially when the inner part of the thigh rubs against each other.

In this article, I am going to list out some of the best inner thigh exercises which will help tone your inner thigh muscles and give it that perfect shape. However, this inner thigh workout will not get rid of the inner thigh fat that rubs against each other. Exercises can only help tone your muscles and there is no way they can reduce your fat. If you want to learn the best way to remove the thigh fat and learn how to get your body in the best shape of your life, you should scroll down to the bottom of this page and opt in for my free newsletter where I’ll share with you exactly how to get your lower body in the best shape of your life.

To work out your inner thighs, you just need around 15 minutes of your time daily. 15 minutes of intense exercises are enough to tone your muscles and keep you in shape.

Start with a little warm up. A little jogging on the spot should get your heart rate up, your blood flowing and your muscles warmed up for the inner thigh exercises that follow. Some people recommend that you stretch before working out, but you should not stretch your muscles before working out because stretching loosens your joints and muscles and it increases the chances of injury. That is why you should just stretch after you’ve worked out.

Note: Most of the videos below are from Expertvillage

Leg Lifts For Inner Thigh Workout: Below is a video that explains this exercise perfectly.

Scissor kicks: An extremely effective exercise that targets your inner thighs and abdominals. The video below explains it very well.

Leg Lifts With Inner Thigh: You just need something to hold between your legs to be able to perform this exercise. You can really feel the pressure on your inner thighs with this exercise.

Lunges: One of the best exercises for your inner thigh, your quadriceps, your hams and your entire lower body. If I have time to do just one exercise for my inner thighs, this is the one that I’ll do.

Side Steps Lunges: A variation of the lunges which concentrates on your inner thighs. You will feel a great burn with this workout in just a few repetitions.

Under The leg Lifts: This exercise looks easy but after doing around 40-50 of these, you can really feel the burn in your inner thigh.

Dragging the Box: This is an advanced exercise for inner thighs that I like to call “Dragging the Box”. The good thing about this exercise is that it includes weight and you can easily increase your exercise level by putting in more weight. And you don’t even need dumbbells to do this. You can do it with any heavy stuff you have at your home.

After you are done with the exercises, you should definitely stretch for at least 2 minutes. This assists in recovery and also decreases the chances of injuries.

These inner thigh exercises are only a small piece of the puzzle. There are many other factors involved if you want to get rid of inner thigh and have the sexiest thighs imaginable. To find out about how to achieve your weight loss goals and get the sexiest thighs imaginable, click here.

All of the videos were the same except for one. Didnt really get the point of that. Also it would be extremely helpful if there were also steps to go with the video. Like something you can read not just a visual. Thanks. Other than that it was great.

jackie June 7, 2011 at 10:55 pm

did this work ?

admin June 10, 2011 at 4:48 am

Hey Ashley,

If you are having trouble keeping your back on the ground, I’d suggest you lit your neck up a little bit. Try to keep your back curved and not arched during the exercise.

Hello! While doing the scissor kicks I feel like I’m straining far too much in my abdominal region, is there anyway to fix this? I know it works those muscles as well but its a bit painful and I’m not feeling much elsewhere.

admin June 11, 2011 at 8:34 am

Hey Melissa,

If you are not used to the exercise, the strain may seem too excessive in the beginning. If you keep doing the exercise regularly, it will become much less as you get used to it.

Are these okay to do if pregnant? Im gaining weight and losing tone in my inner thigh any suggestions?

admin July 8, 2011 at 11:26 am

Hey Cindy. I recommend that you consult a doctor before trying any of these exercises. You can do these exercises even after delivery to get your thighs back in shape.

Sammy July 10, 2011 at 4:31 am

Thanks so much! Your videos are awesome. The inner thighs are so hard to get to, that’s probably why mine look disgusting. I was just wondering how many reps you would suggest?

Sharon July 18, 2011 at 6:49 pm

Hi!
I’ve just begun these exercising and I was wondering – how many sets and reps do you recommend to someone just beginning this workout? Thanks so much!

Taylor July 19, 2011 at 10:59 pm

Okay I can’t get myself to do these every night. Do you have any suggestions for a good motivation?????

Ananya August 1, 2011 at 5:12 pm

Hi. I subscribed to your newsletter, and my main trouble area is my inner thighs. How many reps/ for how long should we be doing these exercises?

Cassi September 27, 2011 at 2:47 am

I’d like to get ur newsletter

I found this extremely helpful. The scissor kicks really work. I’m interested in actually rebuilding my muscle after a stretch session gone devastatingly wrong over two months ago. 99% of these pages I’ve searched are just really weak, petty pseudo-exercises to “burn fat” and “tone muscle”.

Thank you for actual work out and not some fish-oil-esque lazy dribble.

brandy November 4, 2011 at 8:15 pm

wow i did these one time and i already feel it!
thanks !

Jen November 13, 2011 at 7:15 pm

Hi! I really enjoyed the exercises you provided. I have patellofemoral pain syndrome and really need to strengthen my inner thigh muscles to bring my knee back into alignment. The pain can be severe and I’m grateful to have found more exercises compared to the “one” my doctor suggested. Keep them coming. Oh, and if you have more exercises that don’t require the plank position that would be awesome. It puts a lot of strain on your wrist, yes I have carpel tunnel too. Joy! Rapture! :o) Thanks again!!!

Dani November 29, 2011 at 12:51 am

Thank youuu! I looked on yahoo and they said dancing helps… Well it doesn’t because I dance constanitly! Ask all my friends. Lately i’ve been on a no soda deit, and i eat fruits. I do 100 sit up a nite and i’ve lots of changes. Just not in my inner thighs.
June i weighed; 118
August i weighed; 123
Novemeber i weigh; 116
If i could lose my inner thigh fat i wouldn’t have to worry what jeans look good on me, anymore! I hope your workout helps!! (:

Men have an equally hard time losing fat in the inner thigh region. Those of us who care! Help!!!
